Wow. Time goes by fast. I do recall tThis site starting sometime after the Iverson run. I think I first came across it in the late spring of summer of '97 back during its more primitive days.
Congrats to DFW. Here's to 12 more years.

Many thanks to DFW. A remarkable accomplishment, and the Basketball History Project is a treasure trove for all Hoya fans, not to mention Hoyatalk, of course. (Incomprehensibly, though I have changed jobs over the last 12 years, I have never been fired, not once. Well, at least not for using HoyaSaxa.com & Hoyatalk ) Speaking of which, many thanks also to DFW, Dan & WBH for their work on Hoyatalk. We like to bitch and moan about this that and the other thing (why have you banned so and so, why HAVEN'T you banned hifi, why was my thread moved, why can't I say Editeded, etc. etc. etc.), but it is thankless work that they do to babysit about 3,000 spirited, fickle and sometimes very cantankerous site members (OK, not all members are active posters, but still, there's a LOT of us). I know I wouldn't want to do it. Hell, I'd ban you all and just talk to myself all day. Well done to all and especially well done to DFW!

I'll second Boz's comments and include Dan and WBH in the gushing of good vibes for the Hoya Talk team. Thanks to all three guys.

Somewhere, Ed Stimes is looking down from above with no opinion on this matter. As for myself, congratulations and many thanks!

I ditto all the kudos above! Thank you very, very much to all involved.
There is nothing else I'd rather do to entertain myself at work than obsessively seeking out new posts.

I want to add my 2 cents as well. Thanks DFW for having this forum. Although I don't post as much as I used to in the early days or get into stupid debates with Matt, I still view this board several times a day. It serves as my morning cup of coffee and my mid-night snack. Wow, that means I've been reading this board for 12 years....

12 years! Oh, my. I am not sure how long it has been since I found this board - I don't know what I did with my free time before Hoya Talk and hoyasaxa.com. I guess I am like most and spend most of my time online at HT. Thanks again to DFW for his leadership in starting this and to Dan and WBH for their moderation of the site. (Where has WBH been lately; I just thought that he hasn't posted much these days - has the real world caught up with him or is he just waiting for the bball season?)

(Where has WBH been lately; I just thought that he hasn't posted much these days - has the real world caught up with him or is he just waiting for the bball season?) Hi Nevada! A bit of the real world (work and some heavy family obligations) has cut into my HT time. Can't believe I've missed out on the latest Hoya Track news! ;-) Let me chime in and thank DFW for his amazing contributions to the GU community (much more so than just the past 12 years!). And add a special thanks to Dan who does 99% of the heavy moderator lifting (I almost did ban everyone but Boz once but then I remembered he was a conservative! ;-) ). And thanks to the overwhelming majority of posters who abide by the rules and generally provide a modicum of civility to our discussions as befits a board associated with GU....
