....not sure how everyone here feels about PJ O'Rourke, I'm sure some don't like him, but he's one of my favorite humorists/satirists/political writers, and just wanted to wish him well in his cancer treatment & recovery (seems like it's a pretty good prognosis at this point). Plus, I'm pretty sure he agrees with me today that everyone in Washington deserves a caning. Anyway, he wrote a nice, funny piece about his situation, which I thought I'd share. www.latimes.com/news/opinion/la-oe-orourke28-2008sep28,0,3317114.story (Please, I don't want it to become a religion vs. evolution debate; we have a thread for that already). EDIT: And just so you know it's not simply because he's a Republican, Chuck Klostermann is one of my other favorite current writers.

I've always found O'Rourke to be quite funny, and I wish him the best. Turning cancer into a butt joke: good form, sir.

Hope PJ recovers. Though I don't usually agree with him, he's a smart and funny guy.

Anyone as funny as PJ O'Rourke is okay by me. Get well soon.
