That was a very quick trigger on locking a thread - about 75% of threads veer off track for a few posts and about 90% eventually get around to calling HiFi a tool...why did a beer thread get locked so quickly?
And I know its difficult, because the election and politics are just so damn engaging, but could we somehow limit lame political jokes to one of the 20 threads about politics. That would be super.

I think it was locked specifically because the thread was starteds an alternative to the ubiquitous political threads.
Everything was fine with our system until the power grid was shut off by Editedless here.

I'll take the blame, in so much as the offending responses were either directly or indirectly replies to my joking comment.
Getting back to the beer topic, several mentioned Sierra Celebration Ale. I remember really liking a Sierra seasonal beer, but I thought it was called "Christmas Ale." Is that the same?

That one was NOT hifi's fault. A couple of people were way out in left field in responding to a perfectly legit comment. You can blame a lot of stuff on hifi, but not this one. |

I'm not actually sure if they really do or if they've just fallen in love with the drinking game. They have the Boone's Challenge to see who can chug an entire bottle the quickest. It's ridiculous if you ask me. I think the record is something absurd like 8 or 9 seconds. I'm just a specator in that one.
