Palin's not even IN the debate tonight!!!! How dare they put her picture in the ad regardless of whether McCain wins or loses? I'll never believe anything I see on the internet or in a paid advertisement ever again.

Oh, never mind then. The veracity of the internet shall never be questioned again. Thanks!

If you're going to watch the debate, it looks like C-SPAN has got the goods online this year. Some pretty cool stuff on this site to play around with: debatehub.c-span.org/EDIT: Though, I must add, I think Twitter is one of the most annoying things to come along on the Web in some time....and that's saying something.

Agree Boz. Twitter has officially graduated me to old-man-who-doesn't-keep-up-with-internet-trends status. More important that the debates, of course, are the watch parties. For those in DC Metro, Washingtonian has posted a list. www.washingtonian.com/blogarticles/artsfun/afterhours/9458.htmlIt leaves out that bastion of watch-parties that always seems to have both parties and some fringies present----BuffaloBilliards---but that thing at Ventnor looks fun. Let the deabtes begin!!

The idea of watching the debates sports fan style with people cheering and booing nauseates me.

The idea of watching the debates sports fan style with people cheering and booing nauseates me. "Logic-al Falla-cy *clap, clap, clap clap clap*" "You, you, you, you, you, you, alllllllllllllll you who didn't cite necessary evidence to back up your position" "There goes O...bama, straight for a...talking point See how he...nails it. Lie down, McCain, lie down. Lie down, McCain, lie down." "Hey Ref, get off your knees, you have an inadequate familiarity with Robert's Rules of Order."

Since 48% of the American public believes the debates are really important (per MSNBC), that's a good bet they'll be as meaningless as ever.

Nice work, sir.

I've known Bando a long time now and that is the most clever thing he's ever been associated with. Kudos. :-)

By the way, we should host a HoyaTalk debate party in DC if only to see if hifi would pay the airfare to get here and crash something else that is totally irrelevant to him.

No need to watch the debate tonight. The press has already decided who won and they will tell you that after the debate. Then the public will reach the opposite conclusion.

Anyone who's watching on CNN: that audience reaction gadget is the least useful graphic ever.

Please explain how the audience reaction function works...if there is a spike does that mean Rs, Ds, or Is are getting stimulated?

It's a bracelet-off! May the best wristwear win!
(if I were in this debate, I'd be wearing a Wriststrong bracelet)
