....the Sci-Fi Channel. Oh, and God damn the Sci-Fi Channel too. 4 Hours of Lost every Monday from the beginning? Jebus, I am not going to do ANYTHING on Monday nights anymore. Oh, wait. I wasn't really doing anything anyway. (Also, G4 is showing an hour of Lost every Monday, but theirs is "Lost 2.0," with annoying Pop-Up Video style commentary)

Personally what I love about the Sci-Fi Channel is the completely awesome original movies they make every once and a while. The budget is usually in the mid-5 figures, the computer graphics (usually of dinosaurs...in the future) were made on someone's Mac, and the "star" is one of actors on a Sci-Fi original series who's performance screams "I am contractually obligated to be in this movie". That's cinema gold right there.

I tried to use last night as an opportunity to get my wife hooked on the show. It failed miserably when I failed to suppress an audible"wow" at the first shot of Kate taking a bath in the ocean.
It is impressive how much of the characters' stories and personalities you can see in these first episodes. They really might have known what they were doing from the start.
