FYI for anyone interested in blues and blues/rock music:
PBS stations are once again circulating the Crossroads performance from last year. For those that don't know, Eric Clapton has a rehab center in Chicago for recovering drug/alcohol addicts. I think it mostly caters to celebs, but I'm not positive. In any case, they have an annual event where a bunch of famous artists donate their time for a huge concert/fundraiser. I have seen 3 of them I think, but last year's was something special. It was actually filmed in Chicago towards the end of the year -- November I think. But it is outstanding. Down here they tend to show it around pledge drives unfortunately. But in any case, for those who like that music I think you might want to DVR it.
It is listed under the "Great Performances" show and I think it is simply called Eric Clapton's Crossroads.
There is a veritable who's who playing. In addition ot Clapton, BB King, Jeff Beck, John Mayer, Johnny Winter, Derek Trucks, Vince Gill and numerous other artists contribute.
