I wouldn't say best, of course, but I thought Rivers had a great handle. He was a very quick dribbler, always in control, and we used him a lot to break the press. The problem was, he couldn't use it to score to save his life and was a horrible passer.
I've only followed Georgetown since 2003, so I can't really say who has the best handle.

I would have to go with Iverson too.
He looked like he had the ball on a rubber band attached to his wrist.
Kenny Brunner had superb potential as a PG... handle, passing, understanding the offense.
But, he had other... "problems" that no one could help him solve.
We are lucky he transferred before things escalated out of control.

Unless we're talking about unnecessary spin moves, passes to the other team, and shots off the side of the backboard, Rivers never makes one of these "Best" lists. If you can't pass and you can't shoot, then for whatever good your handle is, it's worthless. |

John Duren's handle was not as flashy as AI's but it was basically impossible to take the ball away from him.

Damn - Hoya Chris beat me to it. The one time somebody actually did take it away from Duren, it was a blatant foul... that lead to two Pops technicals and a midcourt explosion at the end of a McD loss to Drake... followed by a Pops in-referee-lockerroom tirade that lead to, well, an apology.
Those were the days.

loved mr. rivers d and think he shoulda stayed but HANDLE please please please he would ofter get trapped on the sidelines and throw it wildly away not much handle.. like for instance the come back by davidson how many time did it lose it on the side instead of the middle and get trapped adn throw it away not such a great handle in my book but did love his d and wil miss hime best to him go hoyas old and new etc etc ai and brownie in my book maybe along with mr. ba ba ;D ;D ;D ;D
