Nathan Explosion, Skwisgaar Skwigelf, Toki Wartooth, Pickles and Edward Murderface Murderface Murderface I pledge allegiance to thee.
Best show on tv right now.
Discuss the greatness that is Dethklok.

I think Venture Bros. is better (and Frisky Dingo too), but Metalocalypse is pretty f-ing awesome.
Is it wrong that Ofdensen is becoming my favorite character? I think it is. I think that says something bad about me, but I'm not sure what.
But Dr. Rockzo scares me...as do all clowns.

I hear you on Venture and Frisky Dingo, but Dethklok has a special place in my heart.

I don't even like metal but this show is brutal. Count me in the Venture club, but thumbs down on Frisky (though I still watch). After seeing Ofdenson's fencing battle, I'm pretty sure that liking him, while maybe not metal, is still not as conservative as one might think (unless one is thinking maybe Ollie North).

I got some love for Assy, but sometimes it just trips me out.
By the way, I am more than a little disgusted that the energy independence thread is dominating this one. What has happened to Georgetown? More importantly, what has happened to this board?

Between Venture Industries and Dethklok's unlimited resources, I would think there would be an easy path to energy independence.
Some combination of the harmonic qualities of water and a scientific yard sale should get us there. ;D
Brendan Small is a genius though. Before Metalocalypse, Home Movies was probably the funniest, most underrated animated show in history.
I can't really get into Assy McGee. I've tried watching it, but I don't know, just seems like one joke over and over.
For all that I love about Adult Swim, there are lots of shows that just lose me, including Squidbillies, 12 oz. Mouse, Fat Guy Stuck In Internet, Saul Of The Mole Men, Tom Goes To The Mayor, a bunch of others.
They should also dump Mission Hill and Oblongs reruns. Those were never very funny the first time around. AS deserves credit for the re-birth of Family Guy and Futurama (the second being more worth saving than the first, IMO), but not every show deserves to be resurrected. What's next? Dinosaurs? Father of the Pride?
Now the Clerks animated show....THAT had potential. Kevin Smith probably ruined any chance at bringing that back though with that lousy Clerks sequel.

Yep that's the point for unsophisticated people like me. I would feel perfectly at home in some sort of future world where the #1 movie in America is Ass.
But as for your point about AS programing, it seems like they have so much golden material but no network jumps the shark as quickly as they do. The original Boondocks episodes are classic and timeless but they fell off immediately once they revived it. I'm afraid the same is happening to Frisky Dingo; great first season but I think its already getting sort of stale.

Cambridge, its William Murderface. Don't know who this Edward Murderface is, but I'm certain he is not as brutal as William.
By the way, anyone know what ever happened to Korgoth of Barbaria? They had one episode of it, and promised more, but as yet nothing new.

By the way, anyone know what ever happened to Korgoth of Barbaria? They had one episode of it, and promised more, but as yet nothing new. Same goes for Superjail. I thought that had some promise (though I think it may also cause seizures). Both shows were kind of similar in their hyper-violence and gore, so maybe they ran into some S&P issues? Then again, it's not like Metalocalypse is any different. I think they may have abandoned Korgoth in favor of Dethklok -- I would imagine similar audiences for both. But in that case, why not develop both, show them back-to-back? EDIT: As far as jumping the shark, not every show can be The Simpsons. Some of these are only good for a short run & I think -- despite my criticism about Korgoth -- AS does a fair job at assessing what will be developed and what won't. Some notable (and in some cases egregious) mistakes, as I've indicated above, but overall, not too shabby.

By the way, I am more than a little disgusted that the energy independence thread is dominating this one. Energy Independence is as brutal as Mr. Selatcia. Don't confuse incessant blathering with rocking.
