A recent book asks this question--was it possible that Bill Clinton and his long-time adversary R. Emmett Tyrell were classmates at Georgetown? No, they weren't, but the Georgetown Voice picked up on a tongue in cheek commentary by Tyrrell recalling his forgotten past on the Hilltop. blog.georgetownvoice.com/2008/07/03/its-not-hoya-paranoia-if-someones-out-to-get-you/(For the record, Tyrrell is a 1965 graduate of Indiana.)

Nice find DFW. If anyone else has trouble getting the voice to load, the direct link to the Spectator column is: www.spectator.org/dsp_article.asp?art_id=13474If you read the piece, Tyrrell is reflecting on two recent biographies of Clinton (one citing the other) that include anecdotes about the two attending Georgetown together, which is objectively false, as DFW HOYA noted. The problem, as every Georgetown student knows, is that anything found in a book-book must be true or else it couldn't have been published (that's what separates real sources from Internet sources, or so I've been taught).
