Yet this is "flame bait." You have a strange sense of reality. Liberals and conservatives on this board already know where each other stand on the abortion issue. Since there have been no changes in events regarding abortion's status in either direction, I see no need to start a divisive thread to hash this out all over again. You're attempting to pick a fight, and it's to the credit of both the conservative and liberal members of this board that no one has taken the bait thus far. |

Believe it or not, once you put it that way, then I see your point. I wasn't actually picking the fight though. I was merely pointing out one aspect of the issue from a different perspective, and a perspective that is often neglected. As for the larger scale abortion in general, I think I have been quite clear on my views, and that is that the real question we need to answer as a society is when as a society, we accept the obligation to step in and protect the rights of the individual. All other questions are really irrelevant and moot. In any case, I wasn't starting that grander scale question, but I do see your point. Your point is basically that we all have our beliefs and we aren't going to change anyone else's views, so to avoid wasting time at least and conflict at worst, we are agreeing to leave the topic alone. Is that correct? |
