The media isn't responsible for this at all.
And there has been a continued effort in the leftist, Arafat-apologist camp to use keffiyehs to show support for the Palestinian cause.
I'll pose this a different way - remember that awful Pepsi Super Bowl commercial with Justin Timberlake? What if Timberlake was wearing a Che shirt? Would people be right to complain?
