Forbes' Most Valuable Colleg Basketball Programs

Forbes has come out with a list (shocking, I know) of the 10 most valuable college basketball programs. As you may have guessed, the Hoyas are not listed. Louisville is the only Big East team, coming in at number 3. The Big Ten, perhaps thanks to its new network, has 4 of the top 10.

Notice anything? Duke and a bunch of big state schools. The only private school is the college hoops equivalent of the Yankees--hated or loved nationwide--and that's it.

GU is at a sizable disadvantage when it comes to competing with big state institutions, which is why constant credit has to be given to JT III for all his success, and why we need the Big East--the only BCS conference with a majority of private schools in hoops--to stay intact.
