I won't speak for anyone else, lic, but I'm pretty sure I'd have a heart attack and/or aneurysm if I tried to maintain your level of excitement year round. ;D
I'm deferring my excitement to, say, June. Oh, we still won't know anything about Kenner League schedules or rosters by then, but the prospect of idling away a summer afternoon in McDonough will be more tangible by then.
Right now, that thought is little more than soft torture.

I'd love to see Monroe play against Jeff, but I'd hate to see Sims/Braswell/Monroe lose minutes to a player that isn't going to play for the Hoyas next year.

Because he's a pro, I don't think Jeff can play in an organized league with college players. I've seen the coaches pull players off the court to keep them from playing against the pros. So, unless the rules have changed...

Also I remeber a story about UNC NBA players playing pickup games with recruits and current players and it was ok because some of them were still enrolled in school.

A lot of pro ballers have shown up. Steve Francis, Brenden Haywood, Hibachi all played in 2004. I think Sam Cassell also played the year before that. Franchise brought a whole NBA squad in 2001 (and lost). I bet we'll see both Jeff and Durant for a couple games this summer. The rules changed at some point after 2004. I don't think I've seen any pros play except for Lonnie Baxter (who may not have been getting paid by a team at that point, and who Roy destroyed so badly that Baxter snapped and tried to shoot up the White House)

Well that sucks. You mean NCAA rules changed? Anyone have any more info on this? The NCAA started enforcing rules and certifying summer leagues a few years ago. Kenner used to let a lot of underclassmen in HS play up as well as host a lot of pros. Now, no one plays up -- even if he were in the area Hollis couldn't play on the Tombs, for example. And there have been some pros -- Jeff, Lonny, etc. -- but no longer the high profile items.

Apples and oranges here The pros have been playing Kenner for a long time, but there's a HS league, a college league, and a pro league. I don't think they're supposed to mix. I remember running the scoreboard in '01 and Moochie was there, Trouble, Franchise, Jerome, lots of people. I think the difference with Jeff is (perhaps?) he hadn't signed a contract, been drafted, played in the NBA yet or something like that. As far as pickup games go (like the reference to UNC) those are ok since they're not in an organized league. However, even then you have to be careful.

Can anyone explain what the purpose of this rule is? Which one? I believe the lack of mixing with pros has something to do with amateur status. I think the lack of mixing with HS kids is to keep players from recruiting. I think the two player on a team rule is to keep the coaches from basically creating mandatory practices for the student athletes when there aren't supposed to be any.

Last summer, Jeff had been drafted and I think he may have already signed a contract when playing in the Kenner League. He had already played in the NBA summer league.
Wasn't Mike Hall last summer under contract with GW when he played KL?

It was the NBA/College one. Amateur status, I guess, but it's not as though they're being paid to play against the pro players?
