The rules are simple: only two returning members to team. The freshmen are often all on the Tombs, but not always, and with three frontcourt members, we could see some splitting up.
What returning guys go on the Tombs with most/all of the frosh? Who else is paired up?

Can you get a link to the rosters of the teams last year? Not knowing this I would say: Jessie on Tombs with Monroe and Sims (maybe also Nikita), DaJuan and Austin together (this would be nice because it would precipitate them playing different positions during the year as well), Chris, Omar, and Jason C. together.

I wonder whether Monroe will participate since it is a long way from Louisiana, unless he enrolls in summer classes.

I wonder whether Monroe will participate since it is a long way from Louisiana, unless he enrolls in summer classes. All the freshman in the past few years have participated in a summer program. It's start is a little later than Kenner's, so only the local kids will likely play in the first few games, but Monroe will be in Kenner. I think it's the Community Scholars Program, but I know for sure it's a program for minority students/students who come from really poor schools to ensure they're ready for the Gtown work load. I think they get credit for it too. Here's the description from their website: www1.georgetown.edu/centers/cmsa/programs/scholars/It's a little different than what I remember being told about it by the RAs when I was checking in the community scholars two years ago.

Omar and Nikita will probably either be the sole Georgetown reps on a team or together, which is how it usually works for the guys at the end of the roster.
Last year they split up the freshman; if all 4 make it, I suspect we see that again, especially with 3 big men. So, if we end up with Tomb's and Clyde's both being Georgetown again, perhaps something like this:
Tombs's - Sapp, Freeman, Monroe, Braswell Clyde's - Wright, Summers, Clark, Sims Other - Rivers, Macklin Other - Wattad, Nikita
Rivers could replace someone on the top two squads, the idea being to have a returning PG on each. You could also have Macklin replace someone on the team that only gets 1 of the big freshman.

Or, if it's like a lot of Kenner Leagues, they'll all just play for whatever team they play for that day.
;D

Love the early Kenner talk. My memory is foggy re: the rosters the last couple years, but I enjoy it when there is a strong Tombs team led by the freshmen, and then a strong Clydes team led by some of the better returning players and some other good locals. Ideally, this culminates in a climactic championship game. Or, Jeff (or Roy?)comes back, joins a random team and wins the championship for them easily, haha. Tombs: Wright, Clark, Monroe, Sims Clydes: Sapp, Summers Other: Freeman (one man team ala Tyler the last few years) Other: Rivers + Macklin Other: Omar + Nikita But, most likely this: Or, if it's like a lot of Kenner Leagues, they'll all just play for whatever team they play for that day. ;D

Tombs: Wright, Sapp, Wattad, Summers, Monroe Clydes: Clark, Rivers, Freeman, Sims, Macklin Other: Nikita Other: Braswell Only two returning players to a team. Wright, Sapp, Wattad and Summers can't all play on the same team. Same with Freeman, Macklin and Rivers.

Might be interesting to see which team Dyson plays for considering these comments from Calhoun...
"So if you see any movement within our roster, which, I'm telling you right now, you will ..." Calhoun said. "Speculate all you want [about which players], but I think most of it will become pretty evident in the next week or two. ... We will have a minimum of four scholarships for next year."

Sapp got stuck on one of those teams before. As did DJ Owens. Tyler Crawford is the one guy that I know who repeatedly got stuck on these teams (his final three years/summers).

Yea, somebody else might too, but Omar and Nikita almost certainly won't be on either of the 2 main teams.

Here's what I gathered from my old material re: rosters...
Summer 2007
Tombs: Wallace, Macklin, Wright, Mescheriakov
Clydes: Rivers, Ewing Jr., Freeman, Wattad
Colonials/M&A mercenary: Tyler Crawford
M&A mercenary: Jeff Green
(Incidentally both Tombs and Clydes lost in the quarterfinals last summer.)
Summer 2006
Electro-Lite: Tyler Crawford, Josh Thornton
Clydes: Roy Hibbert, Jessie Sapp
Tombs: Jeff Green, Dajuan Summers, Vernon Macklin, Jon Wallace, Jeremiah Rivers
M&A: Marc Egerson, Octavious Spann
(This is the year Hibbert averaged something like 25ppg, including 32 in leading Clydes to the title. In the Tombs-Clydes game--best KL game I've seen in four years--Green went for 34 and 9, Hibbert 24 and 11, Sapp and Wallace both had 24. This is now more than most of you will ever care to know about this random summer league.)

When does the Kenner League start and where are the games played?
I'm staying in DC this summer for the first time, and would like to catch a few games. Thanks
