Having said that, holy crap would I love to see Roy take 28 shots in a game, never mind even getting 28 touches. Geez, he would have 40 in the first half. Tell me about it. I wished he had that agrresive gene. Frankly with the of of the Hoyas still not being up to speed why don't the Hoyas just have Hibbert take 20 shots a game the rest of the way? Even if it meant forcing it at times.

I agree that we do need to get Roy more touches, however teams have been quite successful denying Roy entry passes. And on occasion, when we do force it, it results in a turnover + fastbreak for our opponent. I'm sure III and the coaches are developing a game plan to get the ball to Roy, but to my very amateur eye, it seems as though we're just doing a lot of pass around the arc plays. Am I missing something? Is there some sort of pattern we can run to get Roy into single coverage? I can't imagine that the zone our opponents have been running is unbeatable.

Great ending for all the right reasons. L'ville almost blows it at the line against an unbelievably overrated team that plays no defense. Alice the Goon hits 3 3s down the stretch, scoring 40, all to no avail. Our strategy on March 8? Go right at Padgett. He can't play 30 minutes. I guess I dont see what about that game made you think ND is unbelievably overrated or that it was a great ending for us. To me, that looked like two damn good teams playing at a high level for 40 minutes. The only reason ND was smoked early was because Lville was playing so well. We are going to have to beat Marquette and Lville, in my opinion, to convince people we are the best team in the Big East. We might beat Lville to share the title, but I think a lot of people would still think they are the better team. As others have noted, Marquette is a bigger game, imo, than L'ville. We need to prove to ourselves that we can play at a high level for 40 minutes against a very good team on the road.

I believe Padgett sat in large part because the lead was so great, and to give Carachter more minutes, not so much because he was out of shape.

UofL should also thank McAlarney for failing to show up, and actually hurting his team more than helping them.

I feel like he played well at the Garden last March. Has my memory failed me? I believe a mr Tory Jackson and a mr Colin Falls had more to do with that I think you mean Russell Carter, who went 4-6 from 3 in the first half on his way to a team high 21. Harangody had 11 and 5. And by 5 I mean 5 fouls.

yeah but carter disappeared down the stretch. The real star of that game for ND was Tory Jackson who absolutely torched our defense for several big buckets late.

For some reason, I have the sequence of Carter hitting a 3, getting a steal at the other end on our next possession and then pulling up on the ensuing fast break and hitting another 3 burned in my mind.
