on his list according to hoopscoop:
Johnson also tells us that it now appears to be a five way race among Michigan, Michigan State, Xavier, Georgetown, and Ohio State for 6'11 DaShonte Riley from Birmingham (Detroit Country Day) MI, who is ranked #13 nationally in the junior class by the HOOP SCOOP.
Nothing we didn't already know.

Well this kid was meant to be a Hoya, so we will see after he visits again for the L'ville game.
It is funny that dook just offered him. I guess that they are glutens for another recruiting beat-down(LOL). Perhaps Johnny B Good will bring the stretch limo ;D

gluttons, balla. glutens are a grammatically-incorrect plural form of a foodgrass(usually wheat)-based compound that comprises much of the world's protein intake and the object of much consternation over those with celiac disease.
let's hope we kill l'ville and that riley enjoys his time on the hilltop

What's his connection to the Michigan schools like? I would think it would be difficult to tear him from the grasps of Izzo and the boosters for Michigan plus Beilein I'm sure will push hard. Not many top players from Michigan leave Michigan. Does it appear that location will factor in much with him?

So coming east for a superior education is important to him and his mom.

Michigan St. and Ohio State have been on him the longest, but he's a lifelong Hoya fan so GU is in the mix. Once they got in that immediately catapulted them to the top, IMO. III didn't actually know about him until this summer when he came to PJ in July. That's where the mutuality of the recruitment began.

Does anyone else find it bizarre that in two years we could have a Freeman, Braswell and Riley all playing at the same time?

Are we recruiting Bob Sweetney?
This is really too funny. Riley, you have to come to Georgetown! End of story!

Does anyone else find it bizarre that in two years we could have a Freeman, Braswell and Riley all playing at the same time? Given the roster of the current team -- Ewing Jr., Young Rivers, and JT3 -- the bizarre part is that none of the guys mentioned above are actually related to their namesakes!

I have a vague recollection that there was a song done back in the early '60's by Walter Brennan (yes, Grandpa Amos/multi-time best supporting actor nominee himself) in which the title character of the song was named something Rivers. Some of you other geezers on the board, does this ring a bell?

Walter Brennan ... "Ever been stung by a dead bee." From Bogart and Bacall's To Have and Have Not. yes i think the song was Old River about a Plow Horse or a Mule. Rooter, just remembering this does not equate with Geezer... I hope.
