Looks like the 'Aints showed up in Indy & left the Saints behind.
Ed Reed is liable to take Ocho Cinco's head off...and then return it for a touchdown.
Other than that, I have no thoughts about the season yet.
Except: F-ing Marvin Harrison just HAD to stumble at the 2-yard line, didn't he?! That play and Addai's ensuing touchdown was a 12-point fantasy swing against me. Goddam Syracuse players!

I have to say, I'm already enjoying having Manning on my fantasy team. Goood times. Good times.
Can it be Sunday now? I'm pumped for Pat Williams crushing Jerious Norwood and then eating Warrick Dunn for a mid game snack. That and for the beginning of the Tarvaris Jackson era at QB.
And no, I don't care that you haven't heard of Tarvaris, or that you think he's going to be a joke, or whatever. I'm going to believe he (along with Adrian "All Day" Peterson) are going to save the Vikings' offense and lead them to the playoffs.

AD needs to stay healthy though - that still makes him a big question mark in my mind.

Purple Pride baby!! I was cool with either them taking either Rice or Jarrett--Rice has a lot more upside, Jarrett's more polished, but he's a possession receiver. And here's what I think of people who worry about Adrian Peterson kissmesuzy.blogspot.com/2007/08/his-name-is-not-adrian-peterson-his.html

I was about to make a joke about who the NFL's true purple powerhouse was, but then I clicked on that link.
Purple Jesus. That's just outstanding. Love it.
(but baltimore's still the best team in purple - well, sort of purple)

Its good to see that some are drinking the purple kool aid and a sincerely hope you are right about your convictions, it would be nice to have an offense in the north that's worthy to compete with our defense (although we'll know a lot more about the Bears D when we try to stop LT on Sunday) In seriousness the vikes are going to be much improved and probably will lift themselves out of their slump one of these days (probably well before any post-Favre Packers or the Lions ever) Besides Adrian Peterson aint got nuffin on Adrian Peterson!

Chester Taylor isn't going to be taking carries away from Peterson, is he? That'd be bull. Especially for BlowTheNewGuy (please see this link before my fantasy team name gets any weirder www.funnyordie.com/videos/60d14b6331 )

I thought I was screwed with the Vikings D in one of my F leagues, but they sure put a whippin on Joey. Atlanta fans must be having apoplexy with Matt Schaub making Houston look like a real team.
And with Tom Brady on one of my F teams for the fourth year running, I really wish I had gotten Randy instead of Donte, but I'm still glad I don't have TO.

I was rather glad that I have Moss on both my regular draft league as well as my salary cap league. Now if Tony Roma can teach Drew Brees to be a quarterback then I will be in fine shape in bothe leagues.

I thought Schaub would have been fine with the Mora offense after what I saw at training camp one year. I wanted to trade Vick after the season 2-3 years ago and try Schaub as the starter.

The Shaub trade might be the mistake of the year. Even w/o Vick getting thrown in jail, his style of play makes it likely he'll get hurt, making a good back up important. Joey Harrington is not now, nor has he ever been, a good anything.

anyone who hasnt since Schaub play, he is the real deal. Smart, eficient, decisive team leader. Whatever he lacks in arm strength he makes up for it with Brady-like brains. Let the Brian Brohm countdown begin in Atl.

Can we have an NFL Thread and a separate Fantasy Thread? No one wants to hear about your fantasy team. Or mine.

The Bears D looked great but got tired after being on the field all day courtesy of 4 dreadful to's. Now starters Mike Brown and Dusty Dvorak are done for the season. Just awful. Every year Mike Brown starts off playing great then gets hurt. The guy is more injury prone than Ramell Ross, if that's possible.

Every year Mike Brown starts off playing great then gets hurt. The guy is more injury prone than Ramell Ross, if that's possible. Yeah I was off by 2 games on when Brown would be done. The good thing is that we won't be trying to stop LT and others every Sunday, the most competition we'll get all year right now looks to be Adrian Peterson. As for Rexy, he seems to be going away from the Favre model of trying to force things into coverage rather he forgot how to take a snap, and with Olin Kruetz as a multi time pro bowler that is really unforgivable. However really he's the best we've got (I'm not sold of Griese) but Jerry Angelo, for all the things that he did to bring us out of oblivion, he falls in love with draft picks and refuses to be proved wrong about them. Oh well, Chicago has never been a QB town and I guess the management wants to keep it that way GB has NO Running game and was really gifted a game, good call Andy let the guy who doesn't know how to field a punt do it EVERY TIME. Their defense is good, but I still don't know why people continue to slurp all over AJ Hawk. The guy was a beast in college but he has been good but not spectacular. He could improve but the way some cheesheads put it you would think that he is the greatest defender produced in the past ten years. Lions looked good, even though they got two pics themselves but they were beating up on a team that would probably finish 2nd in the SEC. Vikes are already an improved team and they are really the sleeper team in the NFC (49rs are better but they've been the sexy pic for a while so they're not sneaking up on anyone) but we already knew that they could pick on Joey In other tragic news things still aren't looking good for Kevin Everett, this kind of thing just sends chills down your spine and you would not wish it even on your worst enemy sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3012739

That being said, I always hate that feeling you get in your stomach when you see one of these injuries and you see the guy's body go completely limp at the moment of impact. It's devastating that in just that instant everything can change.
