Yes, it's only January 17, but here you go:
From ESPN.com's Bracketology:
Georgetown as the #8 seed playing Vanderbilt as the #9 seed in the "Syracuse" region with a second round game vs. #1 seed Wake Forest.
GU RPI - 45, SOS - 46
P.S. -- this is a nice post to get me to All Big East status.

Sorry, it's on the premium "Insiders" section. I finally gave in and signed up last summer.
I didn't even know about it until I saw a reference to our #8 seed projection on a Cuse message board.

KC are you pulling our leg? I can't find it either. I have tickets for Syracuse, I would love a possible chance of seeing the Hoyas.

I went in through the back door using Google. How appropriate for the PrinceTown offense. sports.espn.go.com/ncb/bracketologyI'd love to see Vanderbilt-GU. It would allow us to see what we passed up on in Shan Foster.

would love it if the huskies (washington) and GW were in our bracket... but i know this is a long way from reality. however, it's the first time anyone at espn has put it in writing that we are a bubble team or even better...

I think it was $39.95 for an annual subscription -- and that includes a subscription to ESPN the magazine. The magazine is not nearly on the level of SI, but it does make the subscription seem like a better value.
I didn't get the subscription for many years, but I finally broke down. Plus, it seemed like small potatoes to the wife when compared to the NFL Sunday Ticket package.

I think that it is worth it for Rob Neyer, he can be arrogant but his analysis is always first rate.

Caddy-I have it too, and I'd recommend it only if you follow a host of teams or sports-otherwise I've found it's not really worth it, especially on a college budget. Since I follow football, baseball and pro and college bball, it's definately worth it.

And even more, have multiple anti-Duke articles on the MCBball front page!?

Lunardi always gets a bad rap, probably because the way he writes is exceedingly arrogant. But his bracketology has no media bias, no personal bias, no hype...
It's simple math with very few judgement calls, at least on who gets in. He's arrogant because if you know the math of how the committee selects, and he does, then you can generally get over 60 of the 64 teams right. That kind of accuracy makes you annoyed when people question.
If Lunardi thinks we're in today, we'd likely be in today.

Interesting SF, thanks for the info. I had no idea it was so accurate. I know collegerpi.com has been ever better than Lunardi -- I think whoever does that is on a run of a 64 or 65 out of 65 for the last few years. Seeding predictions are much harder, and honestly, an 8 seed seems pretty high for our resume.

I think the 8 seed probably reflects the fact that we are from a major conference. From what I've noticed over the years, anything below a 9 seed is either for a team that juuust gets in (random team winning big conference tourney, etc) or a mid major. Big Conference teams get 9 seeds or higher.
