Just so you guys can see the difference: www.gatorsportsforum.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=1Pay special attention to the words of KevinStallings and NumberOneGatorHater. Notice the dramatic difference between their utter rubbish and what I do here?

Does this make your presence any less inexplicable or annoying?
I think not.

Says the Florida Gator fan with 1,000+ posts in less than a year on a Georgetown Hoya board. Notice that he only has a little more than 2,000 posts on his own board They totally changed our board about 6 or 8 months ago. My posts from the previous board didn't carry over, some did and some didn't. No one seems to really know why. Incidentally, that is only one of the Gator boards I visit. Not to be lost in all of this is the fact that there are in fact fans of a number of other schools with visit our board. Some are legitimately called trolls as they serve no other purpose, unlike me who is here to benefit you all with my words of wisdom and tremendous insight.

Does this make your presence any less inexplicable or annoying? I think not. Then you weren't paying attention.

Once again, your lackluster sense of proper grammar is exposed. It appears as though your state-sponsored collegiate education has failed you again. Our nation - our way of life - cannot and will not survive if the supposed institutes of higher learning continue to produce citizens of your poor caliber. Furthermore, your persistent agitation will soon earn you a spot on The List. Cease and desist, or prepare for the consequences.

With all due respect, hifi, you sound an awful lot like that KevinStallings poster you mentioned. As I've always said, I have no problem with you posting your weak sauce posts in the appropriate threads, but so often you derail a Hoya-centric thread with some hot garbage about how this Gator or that Gator is doing this or that... exactly what that Stallings guy appears to be doing. Admit it, dude... you're a troll. No two ways about it. The fact you need to post (with comparisons) about how you're NOT a troll belies the fact that you are, in reality, quite trollish.

hifi, why would we want to lower the standards of our fine institution by following FU guidelines?
All you do is post about FU. No one here wants to hear about FU. To reiterate: FU....no one here cares.
I don't care if you are called a troll or not, you are unwanted. Go away.

I am merely pointing out a fact. Yes, there are in fact fans of other schools that visit boards of other teams. No there isn't anything wrong with it. Some fans do it differently. Some serve no purpose and essentially say very little other than "we are great" or "you guys su**." Others, like myself, contribute to the conversation. You may not like what I have to say but that's not the point. We don't all think alike on every issue. But that isn't a reason for my presence to bother you and yet for some of you that seems to be the case. Sorry, that is a problem on your end, not mine.

Others, like myself, contribute to the conversation. C'mon, hifi. Don't be so disingenuous. You know very well at least half of your thousand-plus posts have been of the "well I don't know about that, but let me tell you how it goes down here in good ol' Gainesville" variety. Your track record of derailing threads speaks for itself.

I'm confused why you titled the thread like you did, hifi. Are you trying to incinuate that you are a flaming troll?

What's youre point hifi? That others are worse than you?
Fine. Point taken and accepted. But that doesn't change our opinion of you at all. Just because somebody else is worse than you doesn't mean you're good.
Here's an example. A guy that makes 30% of his free throws is a bad free throw shooter. Yes, the guy who makes 10% of his free throws is worse, but that doesn't mean that the 30% guy isn't bad.

Yes, the guy who makes 10% of his free throws is worse, but that doesn't mean that the 30% guy isn't bad. I guess my point is that it is totally normal for fans of one team to visit and interact on another team's board. Obviously most of the fans on that board are going to fans of that school. To blanketly view any non-fan in the same light is wrong. I think that the use of terms like "troll" or "flamer" universally to describe any such fan of another team isn't really accurate. Sure there are some that we would all agree fit the accepted meaning of those terms, but simply being a fan of another team isn't enough. A perfect illustration of what I mean can be seen in the Reviewing Officials thread on the Hoyatalk board. I responded to the original post complaining about the officials with a short message to get over it and that it is the very nature of basketball that causes us to feel that way, and that I felt the same way about our game, not that I was blaming our loss on it though. Just like clockwork, a couple of you guys jumped in with all sort of ridiculous claims about what I had said. So I clarified my point that I am not hijacking the thread, I just think that complaints of these sort should really be used by the losing team, but I am not disputing the fact that the calls were bad. After a bit more bantering back and forth, you guys managed to turn it into a hijacked thread. Do you see what I mean?

Generally I don't have a problem with you, Hifi. But what seems lost on you is this board's posters annoyance with your allusions to things Gator. Is it possible that you drop those references? Is that too much to ask? The fact is rarely, if ever, does anyone on these boards appreciate your Florida references. Apparently you don't have the self discipline or good sense or whatever to cease and desist, but believe me it would go along ways toward making you less of a problematic poster to those who haven't placed you in the ignore category.... yet.

You responded to that post just as you do to most posts...by talking about the Gators. No one would care if your analysis focused on the Hoyas, but ALL YOU DO IS TALK ABOUT THE GATORS. Go back and read your posts if you think I'm making this up. Cut out the Gators and live up to your own claims and you're right, you'll deserve no resistance. Until then, keep your crap off the HOYAS board.
