Although practicing with men is probably "against the spirit of Title IX", it probably helps a lot. I bet our team could use some scrimages against some guys at Yates (although at my high school, our guys team would get schooled by the girls team all the time)

The argument here is pretty rediculous. Limiting practice time? (We're talking about PRACTICE!)
Don't end of season tournaments also limit playing time for teams that don't win? What about the poor players who don't get to play as much as others simply because their teams aren't good enough? How can we just stand by while such an injustice occurs!? I say scrap them all, and just award everyone some nice Participation Certificates and give them a big hug.

"How are they to get better if they're sitting in practice?"
First of all, it's practice, no one should be sitting, everyone should be running.
Secondly, playing with guys helps everything - you get to box out and defend bigger and heavier players, you gotta move faster, up your intensity, drive harder, etc. We used to scrimmage guys in three sports in high school and it only made us better. By the time you get to games, it's easy.

This is a great idea. The theory is sound. Why does Tyler Crawford D up JWall at every practice? Bumping him, wresting (wrassling) with him, hacking a him, clutching, grabbing...it makes Wallace tougher. The best defended Wallace goes against on a weekly basis is Crawford. Come gametime, nothing the other guy does to Wallace is as hard as Crawford at practice. Same idea. Let thje ladies practice against men.

I don't know about how Coach Flournoy does things now, but I know for a fact that Pat Knapp had a group of male students he used to call from time to time to come in for practice/scrimmage competition. I may be wrong, but I don't think these guys went to McDonough for every Women's practice, and when they weren't there, they'd go to Yates.
