Two student-athletes from Alaska Fairbanks were forced to enter pleas this week to charges of stealing laptop computers. Apparently, basketball players are not capable of learning from each others mistakes.
It was just a year ago when Connecticut was dealing with a similar situation, specifically Marcus Williams and A.J. Price being arrested for stealing laptops. The case was very public, and surely the details even trickled all the way out to Alaska. That's why it's baffling to read another one of these stories, because it's reasonable to assume that at some point during the alleged act, one of these geniuses -- Christopher Adams and Christopher Jordan -- would've stopped and thought, 'You know. Isn't this what got those cats at UConn in trouble?"
Alas, that apparently did not happen, and so both are sitting in jail at this very moment. The official charges range from burglary, theft, criminal mischief, criminal use of a computer, destroying evidence and misconduct involving a controlled substance connected to the possible sale of amphetamines. Unofficially, add stupid to the list.
These silly kids won't ever catch on. Instead, they'll just keep getting caught. -CBS sportsline.

Chances are the two dodos in Fairbanks had no knowledge of the goings on in Connecticut, and likely little knowledge of other historical events that might be worth their while to know.

To pile on, a friend of mine was just up there. Said the new release at their local cineplex was "The Empire Strikes Back." FOLKS!!!
