All I know so far is Clemson is the #1 national seed, didn't get to watch the selection show at 12:30 but I understand ESPN was carrying the water that Notre Dame got screwed (I know they didn't host but I'm not sure where they're going yet.)
I'll post the 8 national seeds when I find a list and a link to the regional pairings (along with which regionals are paired with the national seeds' regionals for the supers)

Link: sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=2462121National Seeds (in order 1-8): Clemson, Rice, Texas, Alabama, CSF, Nebraska, UGA, Ga. Tech Conference breakdown of Tourney bids: SEC - 8 ACC, Big 12 - 7 PAC10,CUSA - 4 29 teams weren't in last year. Notre Dame is a #3 seed in the Lexington Kentucky regional behind Kentucky and Charleston (Ball State is there also.) The Super Regional Pairings will feature the winners of these regionals: Clemson regional vs. Arkansas regional Kentucky regional vs. Georgia Tech regional CSF regional vs. Pepperdine regional UNC regional vs. Alabama regional Rice regional vs. Oklahoma regional UVa regional vs. UGA regional Nebraska regional vs. Ole Miss regional Oregon State regional vs. Texas regional If a national seed wins their regional they will also host the super regional series. Otherwise, a new site for the super will be chosen from the two regional winners in the pairing.

Alabama, Arkansas, CSF, Clemson, Georgia Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon St., Pepperdine, Rice, Texas, Virginia Adding to DFW's point above, the following schools are all hosting regionals for the second straight year: Clemson, Georgia Tech, Cal-State Fullerton, Nebraska, Mississippi, Oregon State and Texas. These are all state schools in the southern or western half of the country.

As long as baseball is performance based for regionals then you're going to have most of those teams hosting and most of them as a top 8 seed nationally.

Adding to DFW's point above, the following schools are all hosting regionals for the second straight year: Clemson, Georgia Tech, Cal-State Fullerton, Nebraska, Mississippi, Oregon State and Texas. As long as baseball is performance based for regionals then you're going to have most of those teams hosting and most of them as a top 8 seed nationally. It's technically possible to host a regional and not be the #1 seed, it happens 1-2 times each year it seems--so it's not entirely merit based, but rather (I'd imagine) a combo of about 95% merit, 5% does the sun come out on a regular basis in late-May in your city and do the places near your stadium have a good Happy Hour. Incidentally, for the first time since 1975, there is no regional site in the state of Florida. The Gators themselves went from last year's National Runners-up to having awkward "Hey, whaaa happened?" articles written about their descent into losing record-itude this season. Miami ended up in the "Misc., Etc." region with Nebraska (hosting), San Francisco, and Manhattan. So, ummm...lots of frequent flyer miles going to use there.

Yeah, I thought about the gate/sellout factor too.
Winthrop to Tempe as a #1 last year was a prime example of that.
Not sure if the Kentucky regional this year is on campus or at Applebee's Stadium.
