Unless I am hallucinating, there are 6 bowls today in which all 12 teams involved are top 25. Has this ever happened? In a related note, it took me about 40 minutes searching (blindingly hungover mind you) on Sunday morning before I could accept that there was not one college game on New Years Day. I must have missed that memo. I knew the BCS had changed the calculus of the bowl schedule, but didn't realize this mean zero games on January 1st. Nothing at all? Really? Can't you toss me some over-hyped MEAC rivalry or something? I guess I should ask, are there still MLB baseball games in October by the way? NCAA basketball games in March?
Is there some sort of a no games on Sunday no matter what mandate that I don't know about?

This is absolutely something Congress needs to investigate. I'm dead freakin' serious.

From what I understand, college football never plays on Sunday during the NFL regular season and the NFL doesn't play on Sat. during the college football regular season.

I remember there never being a bowl game on Sunday when Jan. 1 was Sunday back pre-BCS when all the big bowl games were on the 1st still.
They said during the Rose Parade Monday that the parade has never ever been held on Sunday and that goes back alot longer than TV.
