Well you do see him game by game and I watch about half of their games plus playoffs, so I'll trust your judgement but have to go by what I see and Donovan would've earned more credibility from me as a viewer if he just left the game and didn't do the theatrics after the mistake or if he did them when he was hurt and not the Michael Jackson dance--which couldn't do a Sports Hernia or Groin injury any good.
I think Eagles played a great game and deserved to win but for whatever reason this year's NFL is a version of who can CHOKE/BLOW the game the most--Dallas had done this 2 times, Chargers a few, etc.... so join the club Joe and good luck to you and Eagles rest of way.
BTW, l was rolling with your Rosenhaus imitation. ;D

This is getting very interesting with a majority of Eagles speaking out on how they want TO "back' and especially Lito Sheppard's comments "Take a poll of the team and see what you come up with" and ESPN Eagle version of Barry Bonds stalker they employ, Sal Palantonio saying that EVERY player he's spoken with on/off the record said they are NOT a better team WITHOUT Owens.
To me it's a matter of McNabb Editeding some guys off with the timing of his decision--he has/will be hurt, so how does the fact he gets blocked knock him out and now he's talking of surgery that he knew he would need now?? That has them angry and can't blame them. I just think this stuff is getting uglier before it gets better, especially if Owens doesn't return.
For all of the McNabb love, you see a team full of guys who know McNabb was partying hard all week at the Super Bowl, got tired at the critical moment of the game, and then Owens who busted his tail to get back to help them win Super Bowl (whatever his motives for returning was?) and performed at a very high level. That means something to teammates and many think EGO of a QB is playing more into this then anything.
Soap Opera continues tomorrow----should be interesting to see what comes of this.

Nobody actually believes they're a better team on the field with Terrell Owens watching on TV.
McNabb just said they might be "better off." There is a world of difference between "better off" and "a better team". You know, like "goals" and "expectations."
The fact of the matter is, they ARE better off with Owens around.
And I would like to see what proof you have that McNabb was out partying hard all week. He didn't get tired. He took a hit from Tedy Bruschi on that 6-minute drill that very possibly gave him a concussion (obviously you don't read the Philadelphia media so you probably missed this back in February). Having watched the game, and every news report and highlight clip, and having read every article written in the week leading up to and in the weeks following the game, I saw no mention of Donovan "partying too hard" that week, and, fan or not, will not believe that happened until he says so himself.

McNabb is soft from a competitive standpoint. There is just no butts about it. The one thing about T.O., if you love him or hate him, he doesn't lie. Whether if it was the play-calling in San Fran (which stunk by the way) or how Baltimore sucked on offense and he didn't want to play there (they stink). He will tell the truth. T.O. has indicated on many occasions how soft McNabb is. McNabb gets a pass cuz he is well-liked.
There are people in philly who feel the same way. And I think there are guys on that Philly team that feel the same way as well. I don't know, but if you have faith in your QB and your star WR trashes him, nobody would want that star WR back on the team. BUT, that ain't the case with the Eagles. Most of the guys want TO back. THAT should tell you something. That is an indirect slap in the face and indictment on Reid, and more importantly McNabb.

I keep reminding myself through this entire saga that when he was a 49er, TO specifically wanted to play with McNabb. In fact there was nothing in the world he wanted more than to have Donovan passing him the ball, hence his instantaneous career as a Raven.
Is there any quarterback in the NFL worthy enough to pass him the ball?
