This is the same Sports Guy who's predicted breakout seasons or all-star appearances for every Celtics point guard since Dennis Johnson retired, but for once in my life, yes, I too hope Bill Simmons is right on this one.

Sweetney looked pretty good last night in a tough assignment against the Spurs. The Bulls should have won that one before OT, but as champs the Spurs got all the calls. I was frustrated that Skiles kept taking Sweetney in and out toward the end. I couldn't tell whether he thought Mike was tired, or if he thought (for whatever reason) that Chandler was doing a better job defensively (he wasn't).
In any case the word is that Sweetney is always the last guy to leave the Berto Center, and is working on conditioning all the time. The Bulls need another scorer, and if he's in shape, the Bulls may be too.

Sweetney was awesome in another losing effort on the stupid circus trip. 24 and 14 I think. I didn't get to listen to the last 3 minutes, but in the fourth quarter before then, he dominated the game.
