So, who from the board is going to be at the big NCAA first round game at North Kehoe Field tomorrow? Might I add, this would be the third postseason tournament game Georgetown's campus facilities have hosted this spring--just a fun fact.
One of my favorite Georgetown games I attended in five years was last year's NCAA lax tournament win over Towson at Harbin Field. Just a really great atmosphere on a weekend afternoon--and the weather lately in DC's been awesome.
Should be interesting to see what the crowd looks like. You gotta figure that anywhere in the country a military academy plays, they've got fans that'll come to the game. Still have awful memories of last year's "home" game against Navy. And I'm sure a lot of locals and GTowns fans (sadly most of the students are already gone) will want to make it. Of course, only about 1,474 are getting in prob., so get those tickets early.
Other important questions:
1. Who's gonna take this one?
2. Does Penn State have any shot at upsetting Maryland?
3. Will Georgetown's announcers shatter the NCAA single-game records for the use of "UH" "I really don't understand that call" "I guess they called the foul on Georgetown" and my favorite "HOLY TOLEDO!!"?
Should be fun

I can't make it because of my own lax game, but I'm headed to College Park tonight to cheer on Penn St. and see the Twerps get upest...
Depends on if Maryland plays the absurdly good defense they've shown the last 4 weeks. They held the Duke team that easily pasted us with 12 goals (and 17 on Navy!) to only 4 a few weeks ago...and half of them were in garbage time....
Buuuut, the early season Maryland might show up, and if PSU plays well, they'll def have a shot.

PSU is hot, but so is UMd. Taking out UVa and Duke in the ACC tourney when you were a bubble team is no joke. I expect the Terps to come through, only to run up against the brick wall that is Hoya Lacrosse! I can't make this one either. I'm coming into DC Monday, but, much to my chagrin, couldn't juggle things enough to move up the arrival by 24 hours. Sigh. I'll be on the webcast, laughing it up at (with?) our announcers, pulling for a Hoya trip to Princeton next week that I will make come hell or high water. Btw, on the webcast, mediocre quality streaming video doesn't really lend itself to lacrosse. I have no clue where the ball is half the time - I'm leaning like half an inch from my computer screen with a magnifying glass. I just assume, if I can't see the ball, that Brodie Merrill has it and just did something spectacular. I also like when the camera occassionally loses the ball and starts following midfielders as they sub out of the game instead of following the ball around the offensive zone. Good times... Anyone have thoughts on Merrill's chances at the Tewarraton (sp?). www.cstv.com/sports/m-lacros/stories/051105aad.htmlThis guy thinks he's the frontrunner. Harrison seems like the heavy favorite, given Hopkins' season, but Merrill was pretty damn close last year, and he has a huge impact on the game whenever he plays. The Tewaarrrton, for those who don't know, is the Lacrosse version of the Heisman, except it has an even more storied legacy, stretching back to 2001.

I had video for the first half, but it seems that the feed is screwy at the moment. 9-3 Hoyas, BTW.
