is dedicated to recruiting and, as usual, Dave Urick makes GU proud with some of the quotes in this enclosed article.... www.insidelacrosse.com/page.cfm?Cat=4&pagerid=2&news=fdetail&storyid=69785In the print version, the editors rate GU's incoming freshmen class as the best in the country, edging out JHU. In addition, three GU frosh are featured in extensive write-ups. Before the Bucknell game, I saw Urick conducting a fall practice with the team on Kehoe Field; good to see the team working out already...... More concerning on the women's side is that not a single recruit was featured in IL. I'm hopeful that Ricky can pick up on the talent trail where Kim Simons left off.....

A quick question from an ignorant football fan. Is Georgetown Lacrosse an athletic scholarship sport as it is in other D-1 schools?

Lacrosse is alive (not so sure how well it is) in Las Vegas. I was coming back from a wine tasting (scientific in nature, of course, as it was sponsored by the American Chemical Society ), when I happened upon a lacrosse tournament at the UNLV intramural fields. At least one college team (club) was there - BYU, but I didn't catch the other teams. Maybe UNLV has a club team. I was going to shout out - the Hoyas can beat you all (wine speaking of course), but I didn't want to embarrass my son. ;D
