It seems as if it was a low key weekend for the track and field team as they prepare for the Penn Relays next week. Some went to Mt. St. Mary for the Metro meet. The results:
Women: 100m 3. Cinya Burton 12.91 200m 5. Cinya Burton 26.44; 7. Dionna Jordan 26.63; 8. Ashley Mondie 27.44; 14. Leilani Green 29.41 400m 5. Dionna Jordan 59.30 800 Jayne Penn 2:21.38 5000m 12. Diana Clock 19:44.91 4x100 4. GU 50.64 High Jump 7. Lena Jackson 4'11.75" PV Leilani Green 11'3.75" LJ 5. Ashley Mondie 17'8.25"; 7. Nichole Torpey 16'11.5" TJ 2. Ashley Mondie 37'5.25" Lots of Disqualifications, including many Hoyas. I don't know if it was due to a starter with a quick finger or those DQ's meant DNS (did not start). I have never seen so many DQ's.
Men 100m 7. Andrew Nolen 11.44; 9. Jesse Patterson 11.52; 11. Luke McArdle 11.56 200m 6. Andrew Nolen 22.83; 12. Jared Jenkins 23.44 400m 10. Jared Jenkins 50.70 HJ 2. Teddy Presley 6'2.25" LJ 3. Teddy Presley 22'11" 4, Luke McArdle 22'9.25" 7. Jesse Patterson 21'10.25" Tj 3. Teddy Presley 46'6.75"
Rod Koborsi was entered in the 5000m and 10,000m races at Mt. SAC this weekend, but did not run either.
There were some Hoya alumni entered, so I will try to find out how they did.
