Saw the new episode today (I Tivo everything) and it was decent however the product placement with the Ducati motorcycles made me upset. I understand product placement but I will only tolerate it when it is subtle and adds something to the plot/story of which this did neither. None of those four besides Johnny Drama would ever get on a motorcycle and that whole line played out for no other reason then to put Ducati front and center. In past product placement like the x-box, the huge plazma tv's, and the bono concert fit Turttle/Drama's character and often added in some way to the plot or humor. I hope entourage doesn't fall in the easy trap of having Vince go buy the guys a bunch of "fantastic great fun new ________" every show just for a couple of cheap $. I don't know if its product placement - I don't think the average Entourage viewer can afford a Deathcati 990. Product placement is more about the fact that even when they went to the kids' party Ari, Drama, Turtle, E, and Vince were shot-guning bud products - which did fit and was hilarious.

Leave it to St. Pete to defend anything and everything "Entourage." Have you no shame, sir? (p.s. I don't watch "Entourage" for serious discourse or artistic integrity. Gimmie Drama chasing after some 80's B-lister, Turtle workin' the ladies and asking Vince for this or that, Ari berating Lloyd and his wife until she cracks the whip... and as few scenes with Eric and Vince being "serious," and I'm a happy camper!)

Sure you do Buff. Humor, character development, plot, and everything you just mentioned are all part of "artistic integrity." I'm not asking for Shakespeare just not the Home Shopping Channel in disguise.

Ari, Ari, Ari, Eric, Eric, Eric.... Lloyd is the real star. Crushing his mongolian warrior was classic. If you want to talk about artsy product placement - there is an ad for Sean Jean in the intro of every show and in the second season the crowd was lining up on the side of the street for an album release party for The Killers, whose album was just out - that's clever product placement.

This show is the sitcom version of that "Fabulous Life Of..." series on VH1. Its the male "Sex and the City." We're all supposed to want to be Vince with the money and girls coming at him all the time, or at the very least Drama/Turtle getting all the run-off. Don't get me wrong, I think its a fun-as-hell show, but there's little to no redeeming artistic value here. Any plot or character development is a distant second to the boys being nouveau riche punks (which is why we watch in the first place). If you want character development, plot, artistic value... tune in HBO an hour before "Entourage" starts.

Entourage has brought it cultural luminaries such as Busey, Woods, and James Cameron - not to mention Mandy Moore, SATC only had some Russian ballerina-man in the last few episodes.

There was an article yesterday about how Variety had a fake cover article about the number one opening weekend box office hit of Aquaman.
The whole running gag on aquaman being this great superhero is great. Vince's next movie should be something that would make Jay Sherman on "The Critic" proud.

I love Entourage. I love Drama, Turtle, Ari. I love how the writers are focusing a bit more on Ari and his personal life.
That said, this episode was a stinker. Again. They've all stunk this season minus the "Aquaman Premier/Blackout" episdoe and the James Woods cameo in the first. This new friend is so stereotypically, predictably and awfully written, I pray to god he's gone sooner rather than later. Eric and Vince have become so predictable its embarassing. Maybe Woods can come back and bash his head in with a golf club or something.
Nothing is happening... so dull...

I hate this new guy. They need to get him the hell off of the show.

I hate this new guy. They need to get him the hell off of the show. Which is too bad, because he (Dom Lombardozzi) was AWESOME on "The Wire" (HBO's best show after "Deadwood") as Detective Hauk.

I loved that the closing credits for this season's Episode 2 were a Buzzcock song -- Why Can't I Touch It. Great tune. The live version here doesn't really capture the amazing bass line. I always thought it belonged on a movie soundtrack but I'll take TV.
