Sopranos and Big Love are nice, but Entourage is my favorite show on TV. Should be interesting to see how things shake out with Ari, Aquaman and Mandy this season.

Word. This episode is great so far, too. Piven is a genius.

No fall-off from last year, for sure. Good stuff.

Bringing in the moms as characters is a great touch - adds a whole new angle to the show. Also looks like the show's writers have realized that Ari's personal life is comedy gold. "Its your personal savings - but you haven't personally saved anything" - genius.

Oh, see I thought it was a pretty lame episode. Nothing really happened (except James Woods was hilarious).
But you're all right: Ari = God.

Let's see. Off the top of my head: all the scenes with James Woods; Ari dissing Johnny Drama; Ari's exchnages with his wife;, Turtle's dismay over having the mothers coming in on the biggest [fill-in-the-blank] night of his life.
It's only a half-hour episode!

Every scene that is Vince or Eric-centric puts me to sleep. That was my point, Filo. But otherwise, you're dead-on: hilarious!

I thought this episode was a little weaker than most from the previous season, but was still good overall.

James Wood needs to be a reoccuring character. Stalking Drama where ever he goes.

Are you x-box guys? - By far the best episode last season. Lord knows I am. And the "Fight Night" episode WAS pretty hilarious... ... although every time I've tried to play under the influence of anything my skills are significantly deteriorated. So my hat is off to Turtle. (Again, we see the theory at work: anything that has to do with Vince or Eric blows... MORE TURTLE/DRAMA/ARI/HOLLYWOOD HAS-BEENS!!!)

Vince and Eric stuff is needed to keep the overall story moving, and a lot of it is intresting because it seems like its true to life for what a young hollywood star must be going through. Its not the funny part granted, but its the tension and having a straight man that makes the other characters funnier, like James Woods or Bob Saget.

I understand the concept of a "straight man" and moving the story along, etc. For that reason, they are an unfortunate necessity. My problem isn't so much with Vince and Eric as it is with Adrian Grenier and Kevin Connolly. They're awful. The characters they play are the closest they'll ever come to famous. Get them outta there.

Kevin Connolly is not a great actor, but I think Adrian Grenier is doing a very good job of being a hollywood type and down to earth guy at the same time, which is what the writters want him to be. He is based off of Marky Mark, and is a better actor then him any day.

Saw the new episode today (I Tivo everything) and it was decent however the product placement with the Ducati motorcycles made me upset. I understand product placement but I will only tolerate it when it is subtle and adds something to the plot/story of which this did neither. None of those four besides Johnny Drama would ever get on a motorcycle and that whole line played out for no other reason then to put Ducati front and center.
In past product placement like the x-box, the huge plazma tv's, and the bono concert fit Turttle/Drama's character and often added in some way to the plot or humor. I hope entourage doesn't fall in the easy trap of having Vince go buy the guys a bunch of "fantastic great fun new ________" every show just for a couple of cheap $.

It seems that they are really showcasing Ari this season -- a good thing, given how damn funny he is. But, in this last episode, it seemed like they are going over the top with him a bit. I can't help but feel that they are making his character too cartoonish now.
