in culinary terms, what defines "better than the sum of its parts" for you? My nomination..... Bacon, lettuce , mayo, and tom. Let the mayhem ensue.

I believe it should be "shaken, not stirred."

The thread title indicated you wanted to stir this pot, and I simply suggested that it should be shaken, not stirred. I guess I didn't take the culinary part seriously.
Anyway, in culinary terms, I submit: ground beef, lasagne noodles, cream sauce, cheese.

I gotcha. I was quite taken aback by your answer because just an hour previous I was having an email discussion with an old friend about "shaken v. stirred" in our martinies and how you could tell. for a minute, I thought you had been my friend all along. As Kramer said, you just blew my mind.

Hmmm, how about lettuce, chicken, bacon, avocado, bleu cheese and tomatoes?

I'm a big fan KC- but avocado and gorgonzola are too good on their own to win this particular competition!
