Not really. People fail in positions for reasons aside from incompetence or negligence all the time. The argument that they make is that her strategy for dealing with the administration and the D.C. government didn't work. That's not incompetence or negligence. For a sports analogy, great coaches who are by no means incompetent get fired all the time because their approaches don't work.
It's a fine line, but when you're a paper that can get sued, this doesn't seem to step up to incompetence.

I only post about the hoya because it's the only thing at Georgetown that really Editedes me off these days. Some of their editors are/have been really irresponsible and they have a huge impact on the community. How does calling for an official's resignation in the absence of a preponderance of evidence have a huge impact on the community? I rarely, if ever, engaged in lively debates with the community over articles written in the Hoya. You may not always agree with their writing or their editorial viewpoints (which are, after all, viewpoints of a group of individuals) but to paint a picture of a campus ready to strike down officials even without sufficient evidence simply because the Hoya editorial baord publishes irresponsible articles is, dare I say, irresponsible.

God knows I have my issues with Nick Timirios and his journalistic practices, but I'm not sure I've really seen the pattern you're referring to. Care to elaborate in detail? And hey, on the plus side, at least The Hoya's journalistic practices are still better than those of the Washington Times: georgearchibald.typepad.com/george_archibald/2007/02/unhinged.htmlLast week. I received first-hand reports that during the newspaper’s morning news meeting on Thursday, February 22, Coombs threatened foreign editor Jones with physical assault because Coombs wanted a particular story angle attacking the United Nations’ investigation of Iran’s nuclear weapons program, but Jones corrected Coombs on certain factual errors.
Coombs told Jones and other editors in the meeting that he wanted a very anti-UN and anti-Iran story, but Jones questioned many of Coombs’ suppositions with factual corrections.
Then, I’m told by people present, Coombs went ballistic, slammed his hands on the table and shouted at Jones to do the story the way Coombs demanded, “before I jump up on this table and smack you down." Coombs angrily erupted against Jones in front of national, business, metro, photo, graphics, and library editors or their representatives.

In addition to her position at Georgetown, Bryant also works full-time for RE/MAX as a licensed realtor, according to her broker, David Palmer. Guess cooldc already knows this. www.georgetownvoice.com/2007-03-01/news/university-vp-under-fire-from-hoya-ed-boardCool DC has every right to his opinion, but not his own facts. Timiraos graduated. Mendoza's not on the editorial board (the nine member body that writes editorials). Seriously. Stop defaming people. Stupid, stupid, stupid, indeed.
