Being in DC from the 23rd to the 30th and Wisey's being closed the entire time. I've often said (to Mrs. FormerHoya's chagrin) that the only good thing that comes out of a visit to her folks (Rockville, MD) is a Chicken Madness.
I made the trip to Wisey's yesterday, and lo and behold, closed from the 23rd to the 1st.
I had no other choice but to then indulge some midday drinking at the Tombs and purchase a new pair of mesh shorts from the bookstore, so although the day wasn't a total loss, I am left feeling unsatisfied...

Midday drinking at the Tombs did not satisfy you? That must have been quite a chasm of despair.

It took you 5 days to head up to Wisey's & the Tombs? What have you been doing all week?

Did you try Wiseys II on Wisconsin? I suspect they are open through the holiday week.

That's just like Wallyworld being closed. Moose out front should have told ya. Being in DC from the 23rd to the 30th and Wisey's being closed the entire time. Maybe it was the surroundings, but looking at my Wisc. Ave sandwhich up close it seemed cleaner. Colors of the peppers were brighter and cheese and bread seemed cleaner and less greasy. It was bizarre.
Still tasted amazing.

Former, you know what was fair? The size of that last bourbon rocks that you had!

Former, you know what was fair? The size of that last bourbon rocks that you had! I'd say that it wasn't fair. But in the good way. Bank error in my favor. Also more than fair, the Manny and Olga's Calzone that I dominated on Jack's couch.
