Does anyone know if a fight song ringer exists anywhere? Or know anyone who could make one? I see them everywhere for big state schools, but can't find a G'Town one anywhere.
Alternatively, anybody know how to make one? I ain't that tech savvy...

Okay, this is what you have to do:
Make a voice memo with the fight song. I accomplished this by holding up my cell phone to my computer's speakers. Then set your voice memo as your ringtone.
This worked with my last phone. Unfortunately, it won't work with my new phone.

I programmed one in. If you have a Sony or Ericsson phone, I can try to text you the ringtone.
Whenever my friends from Georgetown call, it rings the fight song!

Thanks, folks. ny - where did you get a recording of the fight song? Are you using the Chimes recording that's available somewhere?

if you have itunes and a bluetooth phone, its really easy to make any song a ringtone. just go to info and set the start and stop times of the song to be what you want the ringtone as. then go to preferences-> advanced-> importing. import using- mp3 incoder. setting- custom- stereo bit rate: 64 kbps, sample rate: 22.050, channels: mono. then close preferences, right click the song you want to use and go to convert selection to mp3. then however you send a file to your phone do that, but make sure you send the smaller version.

its weird that my phone (cingular) carries about every schools fight songs on their ringtone store yet Gtown is missing. From the Big East they have just about every school, with ringtones, wallpapers, ect. Anyone know if that is because georgetown hasn't allowed them to use their licenced logos, or just cingular doesnt feel georgetown is worthy of being carried in their mediastore?

Do they have Marquette, Nova, etc? Could be a football school vs. basketball school thing.

ya that could be it...they have Notre Dame, Lousville, Cincinatti, Syracuse, Pitt, and West Virginia (no USF or Rutgers among football teams). At the same time they carry Ivy League fight songs, which also play Division IAA football, so not sure what the criteria is.

Cingular once had the fight song cause I had the polyphonic version on my old phone but when I upgraded it was no longer available.

Found a cool GU animated wallpaper on the cingular site today when I was downloading a realtone version of Tiger Rag. I might download it by hoops season - had to leave it just at Tiger Rag and the Tiger Paw wallpaper for today.

Why does GUHoyas.com insist on using the Chimes version everywhere? Why can't it have the pep band version? I don't think Tennessee is using an a cappella version of Rocky Top.

I agree!!! Sure, it's in large part because I'm on the pep band version, but still . . . they should make both available.
