I predicted he would have a big game tonight. Ashanti has the skills. What about DJ Owens as well. 11 points 3-4 from the 3 pt. land.

not to take anything away from owens clutch shooting tonight... but the offensive rebounds at the end of the game ended up in his lap. just seemed like the ball was boucning our way - missed shots came off the rim hard and outside the first line of rebounders.

I agree that luck has something to do with it, but 3-balls that miss always have long bounces, and to this point, we haven't had many people in that 10'-15' rebounding range.
An accident? Perhaps... but I wouldn't be surprised if JTIII has been working out the team on how to offensively rebound our new favorite weapon -- the longball.

It seems like Jeff Green has been a little quiet of late. Although 5 assists show he is still integral... and it is fantastic to see Cook and Bowman and DJ lead the way. This is fantastic! I can't wait to see what happens against UConn...
Someone said earlier JTIII has a rep from Princeton as a good closer, composed. I think we've seen evidence so far this year. And then fundamentals... it seems like he's really helping these guys improve. This is just wonderful, I don't think I can say it enough.

It was the princeton poster who visited a couple times over the summer who mentioned JTIII was an excellent end game coach.

Yeah, Jon Solomon, I think it was... I hope he's doing well, and that both Princeton and Georgetown fans continue to believe they got the best end of that coaching swap.

Nope. Looking at the game again he followed the trajectory of the ball as it approached the rim and kept his feet moving. As soon as it bounced off he rushed to the spot and beat Bowman to the ball. He may have been in a better position to get the rebound than any Pitt player but the ball didn't just come to him. He went in and got it. Good thing he di because Bowman had two Panthers right on his back who could have knocked the ball away if Bowman was the one in better position to get the rebound.. I wrote that DJ's rebound was HUGE so I was happy when later in the day on the John Thompson Show the Original John pointed out that was the biggest play in the game.

Bowman's defensive rebound on the previous possession was fantastic as well. Skied up to grab it.
