Big fan of Philly Pizza here, I don't think I've ever been in there sober, and I don't think I have ever been disappointed by their pizza. Of course, at 3:30am after about 10 beers, I would be satisfied by just about anything. But trust me, their pizza is damn good, and sometimes there are so many drunk people in that cramped little place, it's a party in and of itself.
Nice to see the Hoya Court upgrades. That's a godsend. It'll get a hell of a lot busier now, I hope they're ready for that. And hopefully they will now be open later too.

I remember Pizza Hut, BK and maybe Taco Bell in the food court before. Then again, the "Pub" was open still too or whatever name it was being called. It got way too crowded and too many student bouncers and bartenders were not controlling the mechanisms in-place to keep the under-21 customers from drinking.
Then again, the one time I went to the Faculty Club for an event it was the same way just alot more reserved.
We got late night food from places that took Munch Money until they were closed for the evening then it was either Quick Pita or Post Pub Grub (it was where that coffeehouse across from Key Park on M was.) My roommate waited at his sister's house one Saturday morning until 4 or 5 for food because the PPG guy had gotten robbed.
Philly Cheesesteak had just opened my last year up there in that little diner/little tavern near Kinko's. I saw their ads in the hoops program over Thanksgiving and didn't think much about it but then I was shocked back in the spring (waiting on the G'town Express bus in front of the Ukrainian Embassy) to see how big their location is now.

Waiting in line with your friends while a tad hammered and listening to what all of the other people who are "way drunker" than you ramble on about whatever is one of the most fun things about going to Philly Pizza.

Dude Philly Cheesesteak is open until like 4am... or at least it was during my days (which weren't too long ago). ' Ah yes...I remember those days. My move was to stumble to the back of a real long line there late night...whip out my cellphone...call in my order. Stroll to the front of the line and pick it up 3 minutes later. Genius. Also, Quick Pita was practically in my back yard...I went in there so often, the guys in the place started calling me John Walker Lind (sp?)...we had a running joke that involved them asking if I wanted "extra anthrax" and I would respond that I'd take it, but "on the side." Good times....goood times.

Yeah, but the trick with Quick Pita was that you shot any chance you had of hooking up after eating it because of the vast amounts of garlic.

Yeah, but the trick with Quick Pita was that you shot any chance you had of hooking up after eating it because of the vast amounts of garlic. Not so fast my friend - the joys of quick pita and hooking up may be enjoyed nearly concurrently if the following quick pita safety tips are followed: Either: 1) Take her/him to quick pita while both of you are still drunk - this may actually qualify as a first date in some theories and is romantic in a way that you will hazily remember the next day - and then you are both reaking of garlic - hence it cancels out right - well your both drunk so have fun ... 2) Bring some breath mints with you - sometimes it takes planning for all the unforseen consequences to have a truly successful night 3) Drink sufficient amounts of beer afterwards to neutralize the smell of the garlic - if you can manage to stand after drinking this much beer you will also find that you are sexier and invincible

Even a full tin of Altoids is not match for the garlic from a Quick Pita Special.
