Does anyone actually enjoy listening to Tim McCarver? To me, he and Joe Buck are like listening to Nance and Packer - they are the most painful to listen to, yet somehow they get the best games year after year. Watching a game I don't care about with them is painful, watching the Red Sox lose 19-8 with them jabbering away was absolutely brutal.
Every time McCarver predicts an inside fastball, there's an off-speed pitch away. Anyone know a way to bet against his predictions?
I think I'm going to have nightmares for the next month about Scooter the baseball and Carmen Electra with man hands.

They should be dragged out in an alley and shot. Honestly if they could at least focus on the game and the players for even two straight minutes I wouldn't have a problem...I would be able to at least stomach it. But no, they can't go 10 seconds without becoming completely self-referential and cliche ridden. How about you focus on the 1) game at hand 2) teams involved 3) individuals on the field in that order. I don't want to hear your opinions on anything whatsoever, especially if you are uninformed or ignorant. Fox and ESPN have killed baseball. How can anyone watch it with Berman or McCarver or Buck...god their are awful, awful, awful. Also, if I miss one more goddamn pitch while they are promoing the OC I will kill someone.

its too bad, because i thought buck was halfway decent when he first started. maybe he should stick to football, where is at least not unbearable.

I absolutely hate that Scooter cartoon/puppet thingy they do. It is pointless, annoying, and I would rather Fox waste my time by showing the 800 camera angles they have of every spot on the field.

I would much rather listen to NESN broadcasters at Fenway, and put up with the YES guys for the games at the stadium -- both groups come across as considerably more knowledgeable, and interested in the game at hand, rather than music video montage after montage of every Red Sox-Yankee game ever played.
And to be honest, it's hard to see how "Scooter" the Curveball, and Diamond Cam enhance the game-viewing experience.
