After having seen the box score on the ESPN ticker which didn't surprise me I am going to play devils advocate (SO DON'T HATE ME I JUST WANT TO FIND A SOLUTION AND MAYBE CONSTRUCTIVE THOUGHT WOULD HELP). There has been a steady decline in Hoyas season record since 2000. Arguably there is a tougher schedule, sub par facilities and no scholarships. However given all this the talent is still there to win in this league I'm not talking outright conferance champs but a winning record especially with the CUPCAKE non conferance schedule, I mean we play everyone but the special olympics team. What I'm getting at is that the first few years the decline was explainable and the coaches had a proven record but here we are 4 years later and the situation hasn't improved. At some point the players have to stop being the alumni and fans scapegoat and the coaches have to accept responsibility for a [edited] poor track record. They are the professionals they are the ones getting paid and in Bensons case quite handsomely to WIN and they aren't doing it. There never seems to be any accountablitiy on the part of the coaching staff so WHERE DOES THE BUCK STOP FELLAS?..... Edited. Hoya4Ever made a good point that there is a time and place after the season for complaints like this.
As such, this thread is closed. Let's give the players and coaches some breathing room at this point of the season.
