Just picked up these two scores on ESPN.

Maryland has pulled away and is about to beat American.

GW closed out Florida International with a 10 pt win.

However, Virginia went to overtime against Loyoyla Marymount and barely hung on to win 79-77.

Well, after tonights big win against Clemson, while I do think we should continue to expect an up and down year as our players and team adjust to a new coach and system, I do think we have some reason to be cautiously optimistic.

This doesn't mean we should start considering scenarios whereby we could make it to the NCAA's and worry about RPI and Sagarin ratings, etc., but it does mean that a worthy goal is to exceed our number of BE wins, perhaps shooting for .500 in the BE, or at least for .500 overall, and an NIT birth.
