Attending my first Hoya game as a real fan this Saturday. Does anyone tailgate and, if so, does anyone need someone to bring something? Also, where would people be able to set up? Can't wait. ;D

I think the gridiron club has plans to start tailgating before (and possibly after) games this year. DFW might have more information, but I would probably suggest contacting Hoyas Unlimited for info in the meantime. 202-687-7159

The Alum had slated to begin tailgating next weekend due to the fact that it is Labor Day Weekend. I happen to live in the area and I would be happy to help organize a last minute tailgate should there be enough interest. I am willing to give the gridiron club a call and see what we can throw together.

There was notification that a pre-game tailgate type gathering will take place in front of McDonough starting at 11:30. It is an invitation from Hoyas Unlimited to parents and alumni. But the more the merrier.....

What's the parking situation? Is there enough parking at McDonough, or do you have to shlepp your cooler and supplies from the underground garage to the tailgate area? I can't wait...hope the remnants of the hurricane don't hit us...proabably won't hit DC until later in the week, my guess.
ps This is Massdad2...this is most whacked message board...either that, or I'm not as nimble on the net as I thought! I log on, create a message, it asks for my name, then gives me an error message when I type in Massdad2...I guess for now, I'll be known as "guest". Can any of you Hoyatalk veterans tell me what I'm doing wrong?

It's generally easier if you login when you first sign onto the board (using the navigation bar at the top). Logging in that way, you also have the option of "always stay logged on" which is helpful if you usually check the board from the same IP address (or addresses).
Hope this helps!
