dan, i was kidding. i just love saying blind negativity.
my new years resolution is to be less critical of the staff and players. that should last until at least the pitt game on 1/5.

To be fair, Dan, that foul on the three-point shooter was pretty sketchy -- but not as sketchy as his fourth foul. He got clobbered by a Clemson guy and was lying on the ground, not moving. Another Clemson player drove the baseline out of control and tripped over the prone Bowman. The ref right next to this didn't blow the whistle, but a guy across the court did. JT3 was furious, and Bowman couldn't believe it. On the three pointer, it looked like Bowman missed both the guy and the ball. Again a whistle. At this point, Bowman just shrugged and walked to the bench, shaking his head.

Bowman was out at the circle and between the shooter and that ref. THere is NO WAY the ref could have seen what actually happened. To us, it looked like no contact. This same ref made a number of dubious calls all day. the other two guys were fine.

Oh yeah, i remember -- that was the time i screamed "stop anticipating contact and call what you see!", as opposed to "just because you're mad at your barber, don't take it out on us!" for another lame call by the other ref...

It's nice to see Roy starting. I have one question about it, however-how's it going to effect Owens if he has to come off the bench? It seems to me that it probably will send him even deeper into the funk that he's started the season in. Now, I'm not bashing the move by JT3-Roy's earned the starting spot, especially after the Oral game, and he's definately going to be key if we're going to make some noise in the Big East. Owens is important too, however. I'm a little perplexed by his performance so far this year. I'd rather see Owens be ineffective off the bench than an ineffective starter. Here's hoping Roy sticks in the starting line-up.

PLease people...it's not going to change Owens at allm whether he's starting or coming off the bench.
The guy has had an untold number of chances to step up and he's regressed over the years.
I'm completely done with him.
Time to move on...

We beat Clemson by more than Duke beat them last night. Too bad we are not playing Duke this year.

Nevada, Princeton has Duke next and not only will Shavlik Randolph still be out with mono, but Reggie "Tea-Bag" Love broke his foot against Clemson last night and is out 6-8 weeks for Puke.
