I don't know anything specific, but the new Offensive Coordinator, Coach Uzelac, was coaching at Maryland before he went to St. John's in DC. It would make sense that he could bring in a former player of his.

I'm not sure if this is true, but it seems like GU is using the step up to the Patriot League as an opportunity to look beyond simply GU and I-AA alumni as coaches. Bringing on Aaron Brady, the Uzelac hire and now Gary, along with the recruitment (or the "falling in our lap") of Cangelosi, all seem like signs that the football office is not afraid to raise its sights just a bit.
We'll see how it pans out, but I like the idea of bringing in guys who have at least experienced the higher level of play.
