What is the outlook for the kicking game next year? My understanding is that the special teams struggled during this past fall season.

If I recall, there were two main problems with the kicking game...
1. PK Michael Gillman was playing hurt for the early part of the season, and when he did kick, it was often with extremely limited success... he started the season 2 of 9, but after the Cornell game, he connected on 4 of 7.
2. The line didn't hold up very well in FG situations, as three of those kick attemps were blocked.
3. Punting was also a mixed bag, with Keith Allan emerging as the chief punter, with a 34 yard per kick average.
It looks like (from the WaPost list) we picked up one punter/kicker this year, from Georgetown Prep. Does anyone have a good read on his ability?

This is an interesting discussion/topic. I have a son that will be a freshman in the fall. He is a 3x All-State soccer player and has recently been having a discussion with the coaches about possibly kicking for Georgetown. It is interesting to read about the program he may join. I searched the net for sites discussion the G football program and, in looking through the posts on this site, it certianly seems like the Hoya fans are not shy about sharing thier opinions, concerns and suggestions!
