Talked to a former player this week, who had good things to say about Uzelac. Basically said that he thinks U. is bringing some good things to the team, largely from his experience w/ big-time programs -- i.e. running light contact practices without full-pads, in order to get more reps in, and to better teach the playbook.
Also, Benson has promoted Sgarlata to DC, but will probably be handling most of the duties himself. (For those who have been calling for BB to take back the defense, this is probably a good sign).

Glad to hear the good words about Coach 'U'. I watched him coach for two years in high school. He is unbelievably knowledgeable and probably tried to do a little too much at the high school level. With the talent level at IAA and the IQ level at Georgetown, he appears to be back in a comfort zone. His energy and enthusiasm were apparent at the spring game.

Not to dodge your question, but some other folks and I put up a few comments under the Spring Game thread. I don't know the personnel yet, but I plan to learn. The offense started off a bit sluggish, but then broke a few nice plays. Even though there were not a lot of completions, I thought the starting QB threw well--even on the run. I'm sure he misses McCardle...who wouldn't? These players were running an offense that they had only practiced 14 times prior to the game, so I was pleased with how they finished. Coach 'U' is especially expert in O line play, so I expect that Coach Hickson and he will have a real impact by the fall.
