Myself and a buddy from DC will be there Friday afternoon. Who's up for some tasty beverages Friday night? We also need to find a bar on Beale that we can meet up Saturday morning around 10:00 a.m. Any ideas?

6 buddies of mine will be driving from DC Thursday, we will party in Nashville and drive out to Memphis on Fri - easy 2.5 hr drive

Wow some hardcore hoyas driving down. I will be flying in with style on Friday to take the city by storm. Bring your extra WAG shirts, I think everyone should be wearing them Friday as well to show them what they're up against.

I wonder what kind of numbers we'll have down there. Hopefully we can have a nice presence there. My understanding is we were given the bare minimum for visitor tickets- somewhere around 250. So unless many people got tickets on their own, I would not expect too much support for the Hoyas. |

Hmm...That's a bad sign. Well the guy I'm traveling with and I got 3 tickets, and we know that another Hoya picked up the third. So we're up to 253.

Id say there will be plenty more than what the AD was alloted. I mean, how many people here really got their tix from there? I know I didnt.

I was told I had tix by the Hoya Ticket Office, then got the call Monday that I did not have tix....not sure what happend....

Apparently almost all of our Georgetown seats are in the upper corners. Hopefully, our athletic department will have long memories when it comes time to play Memphis in Verizon.

So who wants to meet up Friday night somewhere on Beale? As for Saturday morning - - I called Automatic Slims and they don't open until dinner. The hostess there said Cafe 61 and Mesquite Grill "might" be open before the game. Anyone local have a recommendation?
Rendevouz after the game sounds like a great plan. It came with a high recomendation from my BBQ World Champion friend. However, the rec was about the atmosphere versus the food. Should be a good time either way. He said for great BBQ, go to Interstate or Neely's. I may hit Interstate for lunch/dinner Friday evening.
