For those in the NY area, you should try to catch a 30 minute mini-documentary about Sweetney - called "My life" or something, I forget exactly. I watched it tonight at 10, not sure when it will be on again - but he gives Trevor Ariza a tour of Gtown, so it is pretty interesting.

i saw the show last night on msg. it was a pretty cool show with sweets giving ariza a tour of the campus.it was great to hear sweets say how much he loved the area and especially georgetown. he kept saying over and over how it is about tradition and hard work at georgetown. you could tell how much he loved his time at gtown.

Trevor Ariza was a high school teammate of Brandon Bowman and Ashanti Cook(Westchester). Was that mentioned on the show?

Yup. They were walking around McDonough and they got to a bulletin board with a picture of Brandon on it. Ariza is like "BoBo!" or something like that. And Sweets explains that Ariza and Bowman went to school together. Then he added that Bowman would be playing in the NBA someday too.
We also got to the new coaches office, including lounge with Plasma TV. That's a plus. They showed Sweets old dorm room in Harbin, which didn't even have extra long beds! I just assumed that ballplayers got extra longs, but apparently not. Something needs to be done about that. Ariza couldn't believe how small the room was - guess UCLA hooks the players up. Trevor was enthusiastic about the mac and cheese at the new cafeteria.
Very Georgetown centric half hour of television. Sweets comes across the way he is in real life - quiet, reserved, but a genuinelly nice guy.

Anyway, thanks for drawing our attention to this program. I hope that someone in our basketball office has a tape of it because it could be good material to show on in-home visits and good stuff to add in to any packages they send to folks who are unable to make it to campus due to distance and so forth. They did an extensive tour of McDonough, including stops in the trophy room, locker room, and basketball office. The basketball office looks professional and seems like a great environment in which our players can work and learn basketball.

Trevor was enthusiastic about the mac and cheese at the new cafeteria. I'd love to check this thing out. Maybe they'll be replaying it on MSG this weekend while I'm up in the NY/NJ area for the holidays? And who's NOT enthusiastic about the mac and cheese at the new caf? Tasty stuff there.

And who's NOT enthusiastic about the mac and cheese at the new caf? Tasty stuff there. Yeah, but they only serve it like twice a semester. Still, when they do is a cause for celebration. Too bad they didn't go to the caf on a Chicken Finger Thursday...
