I saw guys from the Boise State and Oral Roberts teams walking around Waikiki tonight -- the ORU guys looked BIG. I saw a female Boise State supporter who was about 6'1 and quite tasty. Maybe it's the air out there... I also saw members of another team, but I couldn't identify who they were. Whoever they were, they have to revise their raps, and quick. The girls on the street were laughing at them, not with them. I think I may have seen a couple of team managers from GU, but wasn't close enough to really tell. I should have a heck of a lot more details on real things to report tomorrow!

SaxaCD85, "talent" scout extraordinaire...
Speaking of "talent," you know you can upload pics to include in your posts, right?

I could be wrong, but it seems to me that these rules could bode well for the Hoyas, opening up a little extra room for cuts, and for Roy and Jeff to operate in the lane. Be interesting to see if it impacts our three point numbers, or those of ORU, who I think shoots quite a high number of them.

Are season stats affected by the extended 3 pt line or is it counted the same as usual (no asterisks or anything)?

If it's used for all exempted games (which probably involves about 400 or so games through the NCAA season), I would be surprised if there were any asterisks.

hmm, good catch. That sure would explain why the guys with the Boise State stuff looked so short (not football, either -- UAB is playing Hawaii in the Bowl game here). I think it was a portion of a BSU women's team I saw out last night. Oh well, I'll have to sharpen my observation skills. One can't turn into HoyaRon of FLHoya overnight, you know!

No, I didn't really notice the rule changes at all.
