They are very young and without Steele they struggle up top. Have good athletes and a banger in Hendrix, but really struggle from the perimeter. GU should play zone and work their stuff on offense.

I can only hope whoever the Bama coach is was shaking his head in shame, asking himself "Where is Belmont?"

That's cool, I didn't want a good non-con. RPI anyways.

Gottfried knows where Belmont is (Nashville). Incidentally, Gottfried was on that '87 Tide team that lost to Reggie and the Miracles in the Sweet 16.

I laugh (and fart) in Alabama's general direction, as always.

Bama didn't lose to Georgetown that year, they lost to Billy Donovan and Providence, who beat the Hoyas in the Elite 8. The last time Bama and Georgetown played was the 82-83 season, and unfortunately, Bama put a thumping on Georgetown. This was the only season during the Ewing Era that the Hoyas didn't play make the final 4.

Well, I guess that means we only have one "acceptable" loss on our nonconference schedule...

If Belmont's fans hadn't been so nice last year in Winston-Salem I'd be pretty ticked off at them now for the damage they're doing to our RPI.

Bucknell in the 1st round, Ohio State in the 2nd, Kansas in the 3rd, and Providence in the regional final. Sorry, this is just a by-product of taping and re-watching Georgetown games since '85-'86.

"It may be 9/11, which sort of changed the spirit of America relative to catastrophic events. Pearl Harbor kind of got us ready for World War II, or whatever, and that was a catastrophic event."
Gotta love football.

I wonder if any of the presidential campaigns will take up the banner of Alabama athletics.
