Roy's not on any list because he's still playing college ball. Every one of those guys either bypassed college or declared early.

I think it's interesting, and somewhat preposterous, that Bilas' last sentence has at least a tinge of animus toward the NBA Draft. Think of how ridiculous it would be if a small-town sportswriter who covers minor league baseball lamented all the talent his team lost because its best players were promoted to the big leagues.

Not a valid comparison. College basketball is just as big a sport, if not a bigger sport than the NBA. That's not true of minor league baseball and the MLB.

This is kind of a strange article in that Bilas is lamenting the loss of the college game's 'truly great' stars by disregarding the actual stars who are actually playing college ball today. Why not make a composite team of real and imaginary college stars to show not only how many great players there are in college, but how much better the game would be if players stayed three or four years?
Royski- I doubt dajuan was inferring that minor league ball is as popular as MLB. I think even our friend from Burleef understands the disparity there. He was merely pointing out that the sour grapes-tone at the end of Bilas' article is ridiculous.

Yea, I see your point. It just seemed that Dajuan was inferring that the NBA is a higher calling than college ball. While that can certainly be argued, I guess I just don't agree.

Why is Josh McRoberts on any all-anything list?
I had already forgotten that he ever existed.

A lot of this post is rediculous. How can you have someone from the same draft class who was drafted significantly lower ahead of someone drafted higher? (Crittendon and Stuckey above Conley).
And can someone explain how Al Jefferson is behind Brandon (D-league) Wright? The only person on this list who is currently a better basketball player than Jefferson is Howard.
