Let's not be one of those programs that is all over 14 year olds. I understand the need to track them young, but a lot of these kids don't pan out and to follow 14 year olds just seems ridiculous. I would suggest a board rule of no one who can't drive is allowed to be discussed on the board? But Martin is a Legacy. Just like Flounder!

well you are getting defensive because you are Jonathan Recruiting Guy and posting on the Board about these 14yo's makes you feel like your life is worthwhile. And hey, I'm all for that. I am not trying to marginalize you Johnny Recruiting -- i just don't understand why we deviated from the agreed-upon format of having recruits in one thread per grad year. There is an ignore feature. You should try using it since these things are so beneath you.

Thanks for the info ID, I always like hearing about potential recruits, especially with a Hoya connection. How old are AI's kids?

I agree all the talk of 14yos is kinda creepy and should be limited to one thread per class year, but I do appreciate hearing about potential recruits to keep our eyes open for, and it is always a good thing if we can sign top local talent, especially when Sweaty Gary is lurking.

I think Johnny Recruiting is in the class of 2012, but he might verbal by the time he turns 15. He's only 5'11" but has a great shot and some solid b-ball IQ. Good kid.

Ban Brasky Again!!! One month wasn't enough to get the anger out of him. I think Hifi must be agitating him again.

Thorton's sophomore rival(Marshall) already committed to UNC. Thorton was at Gtown's MM and was just at dook this weekend. The entire Cameron crowd was chanting his name. I do not like evaluating FR/SO, because a lot can change in 2-3 years. But like it or not recruiting has changed, and a kid like Thorton could announce his very soon. Heck GU is already recruiting the next Woolridge: rivalshoops.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=732989

Geezzz---Can we PLEASE spell the names of our recruits correctly? It is Tyler Thornton, with an 'N' after the 'r' in his last name.
It's bad enough that we've all experienced spelling &/or pronunciation errors for our CURRENT student athletes, but getting a recruit's name misspelled could place a dark shadow on our chances of landing Tyler (& others).
Specific to Tyler's skill, he is definitely, as noted above, one of the Top 2 Point Guard recruits with Kendall Marshall. He makes EXCELLENT decisions with the ball and sees the floor very well. His jumpshot needs improvement and he needs to be physically stronger. I like him A LOT.
